Life is like a PEARL. It involves:
P - Preparing It
E - Experiencing It
A - Apply It
R - Reflect It
L - LIVE IT!
How a PEARL was formed depended when an irritant - usually a parasite and not the proverbial grain of sand - works its way into an oyster, mussel, or clam. As a defense mechanism, a fluid is used to coat the irritant. Layer upon layer of this coating, called 'nacre', is deposited until a lustrous pearl is formed.
It took a life adventure of an oyster to experience an "Experiential Education" to produced a pearl.

Experiential Education is a process through which a learner constructs knowledge, skill and value drawing from direct experiences. After each activity, a group discussion will be conducted to process what was learn, to assist in bridging the learning experience, and facilitates the application of this new knowledge, to the learner’s specific social, cultural, educational and/or family context. In other words, we put special emphasis in helping learners “bring their growth home” whereby they can apply their insights and experiences to their everyday lives.
Bridging the lessons learn to the everyday lives of learners is the fundamental difference between being a NATURAL pearl or a MAN-MADE pearl
